Great creature work and Environments from Digital Domain in this Disney Classic

I was involved in the Look Dev and setup of the Beast character. I also worked on some set extensions and exterior shots. I stayed till the very end of the project, and the most espectacular shots I made are the transformation of Beast into human.

Process & Breakdown

The Beast transformation involved many layers of particle elements from FX, using Deep Compositing. For the transformation into human, we projected the plate hand over a morphing mesh of the Beast, and used a combination of 2D and 3D elements to create the final look.
